WHAT TO EXPECT
Whether you are a longtime churchgoer or brand new to church, we want your first experience at Temple to be encouraging and exciting. We work hard to provide a friendly and comfortable place for people from all walks of life to worship, grow, serve, and live.
YOUR FIRST VISIT
We want to make your first visit to Temple as stress-free as possible. You will find “Guest Parking" spaces reserved just for you. When you enter the doors by the Church Office, you will see our Guest Services in the lobby. Members will be there to assist you in finding a Sunday School group or with anything else you may need. At Temple, our worship services focus on God’s Word and on worshipping Jesus Christ. Whether you prefer casual dress or coat and tie, you are welcome here. Join us on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m., for our worship services and 9 or 10:30 a.m. for Sunday School. Our joy is in meeting new people, getting to know them, and encouraging them in their search for a deeper relationship with God. We look forward to having you as our guest this Sunday.
SUNDAY WORSHIP EXPERIENCE
The focus of our worship is God. This can clearly be seen in the selection of scripture, music, and prayer in our services. Because we believe that different worship styles are needed to cater to the different lifestyles of people, we offer three worship services most Sunday mornings. Our Blended Worship Service is at 9 a.m. in the Sanctuary and our Contemporary Worship Service meets upstairs in the Gathering Space at 9 a.m. and in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. Here is a link to our Sunday Schedule for any changes that might occur.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School meets on Sunday mornings at 9 or 10:30 a.m. The life of our church happens in these classes. No matter what season of life you’re in, we have Sunday School class to encourage and ignite spiritual growth, deepen relationships with others, and serve our community, state, nation, and the world through missions and evangelism.
FAQ
Good news! There’s no dress code at Temple. While here on Sunday, you may notice that our people aren’t defined by one particular style of dress. From “very casual” to “Sunday Best,” our congregation is a collection of ordinary people who are different ages, come from different backgrounds.
Childcare is provided for preschoolers from birth thru kindergarten from 9-11:30 a.m. by caring members who teach God’s Word called First Steps.
During the Sunday School hour, there are classes for children from birth through the fifth grade. This allows parents the chance to attend a worship service and Bible Study. For more information on our Preschool and Children’s Ministry, call 318-255-3745 or email sally@temple.life.
There are over 600 parking places available on campus in the five lots surrounding the building. Shuttles run continuously to accommodate guests who park in the two lots furthest from the building. Handicap and Guest Parking is available near every main entrance to the building.
We begin at 5 p.m. with Temple’s Family Night Supper. Children’s M3 (Music, Missions, and More), Prayer Meeting/Bible Study, Junior High Worship, College MidWeek Bible Study and Worship, Sanctuary Choir rehearsal, and young men and women’s Bible studies are all part of an exciting Wednesday lineup. To see times and location for these, check our Church Calendar below.
